Surprisingly, despite my love of people photography, Wedding photography was something I never intended to do. Why? Because on the stress scales it seemed to run a close second behind lion taming, and as it turns out, it is probably worse. But having photographed hundreds of weddings over the years, they are extremely gratifying despite the nerves. It was close friends of mine who initially persuaded me to cover their wedding and I haven’t looked back since.
The weddings have taken me all over Britain and internationally too. They have also been published in OK magazine and Hello Magazine and I am a proud recipient of the Fuji Wedding Photographer of the Year.
The style has changed since I started out and I adopt the more casual approach capturing the natural expressions and documenting the action as it happens. Each wedding is individual and different and this is shown in the collection of photographs. I am always delighted to be asked to photograph the families of my couples as they grow. Their big day is only the start of the memories I create.
