It is understandable to want pictures of your children, sometimes even at the expense of pictures of the two of you. This is a mistake. For your children’s sakes, this is part of their future memories. Plus, when you can have a shot like this, why wouldn’t you?! After all, it’s because of you both that your family exists and if only for that reason, should be celebrated.

Here are some images from the recent photography worhshop at the Ridgefield Academy School. A great day was had by all, lots of useful tips and information on how to create better images followed by shoots and immediate critiques. Walking on the beach at this time of the year is very bracing! But with strong clouds like these it’s hard to resist. It’s easy to be distracted by the beauty of the golden sands and rolling waves and easy to ignore the beauty in the sky. But you must remember that at all times it’s the biggest thing we can see.
